MICHELLE CUPIT
DVM
Medical Director
Dr Cupit is the proud owner and Medical Director of Heritage Animal Hospital. Born in Wheat Ridge, she was raised in both Colorado and Wiesbaden, Germany. Growing up abroad helped form one of her favorite interests, traveling the world and immersing herself in different cultures.
Dr Cupit earned her first degree, a BFA in Fine Arts, at CU Boulder, where her parents met. After a few years of travel, snowboarding, skiing and enjoying her horses, she returned to school at CSU, earning a BS in Equine Sciences, to complete her prerequisites for her lifelong goal of attending veterinary school.
After earning her DVM from CSU College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2001, Dr Cupit began working as a small animal veterinarian in the Denver metro area, while living in Parker.
Dr Cupit became the proud owner of Heritage Animal Hospital in March 2024 and loves the clients and pets she has met here. She loves that working as a veterinarian, she continues to learn all the time. Being a "people person" means she enjoys really getting to know her clients as much as her patients.
Dr Cupit lives with her daughter and a menagerie of pets, including a handful of rescue dogs, cats and a bearded dragon. Although she doesn't currently have a Newfoundland living with her, they are her favorite breed.
She would love to meet you and your pets!
